Hmmm. I wish I had thought of it before I hastily and rather angrily hammered out my response to your post.

I wrote, 'Surely it is the point he is making that matters?'

You reply, 'But of course. I just had nothing to comment on the point, so I just pointed out what I thought was in error. My bad, I guess.

My post was directed at the MaaT readership and not yourself.
However, I now see how it can be construed as a slight against you.
It is very much a case of "my bad", not yours, and I apologise for any offence I may have caused you.
