Certainly this can account for the "optical precision" of many
of the joints but this can't account for all of them. All the
seems in all the passages can not possibly have come from the
same block. Indeed, it seem unlikely that even a small fraction
did unless it was intentional and why would it be intentional if
they could fit blocks with so closely anyway.
When you consider that the cuts aren't even at right angles then
it implies a lot of dressing taking place on site.
