The question isn't "Will people like ourselves have trouble with it"?
The question is; would the actual inhabitants at the time these structures were built have trouble with it?
There is NO documentation these societies thought in aerial view 2D perspective. Their maps (the few we have left) are always 3D "elevated horizon" views.
You have taken an easily conceived 20th century concept (ie; looking down on something) which everyone who has ever taken a plane flight can easily conceive, and attributed that concept to a 2500bce society.
The sin of taking knowledge you have at your fingertips and overlaying it onto societies that would not use it is easy to commit. The AE and other races at the time were far more likely to megalith build in a horizontal 3D image.
Can you substantiate with any evidence at all that either society thought/laid out/planned in 2D aerial constructs?
Even something as basic as a "blueprint" in stone?
