That's what a "good" historian would say. A great historian would say that "absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence" and would realize that something major happened happened around 33BCE or so that transformed all of western civilization and much of world history from that point on. And the something happened, was undoubtedly initiated by a single person who goes by the name of "Jesus".
