Petrie's drawing of the object has all the flowers showing. He probably was not making that up. If you look at the far left example in Jon's photo I think I one can see the lines of the flowers just showing. The stalks are also bent and become one as if they were organic stalks and tied together. How does an axe handle do that? I don't have my scanner today or I would scan in Petries drawing of the item in question.

I think the senet board pieces idea solves that problem.
