My first thought was a flower but I was put off by the double stems.

I was also reminded of the axes at Knosos but that's very much later.

I'm surprised if there's a suggestion that such large axes existed in the Old Kingdom. I'm aware of small chisels and axe heads but does anything on a larger scale survive?

I know bronze and iron are both attested for the period but they are very much the exception so would a large axe made of copper (or stone?) have been any use?
