There is little doubt that the Great Pyramid is, as all other pyramids in Egypt are, a funerary monument with a symbolic 'function': to act as the agency for the king's soul to join the stars through ritualistic means. The stars involved are the circumpolars in the north and Orion and Sirius/Canis Major in the south. The star-shafts, which are aimed at these stellar destinations, are an integral part of this principal objective.

The star-shaft theory regarding the King's Chamber shafts has been in circulation since 1964, with Badawy's and Trimble's publications. I developed that theory with the shafts in the Queen's Chamber in 1987/1990. I received the support for this from I.E.S. Edwards, Jean Kerisel, Mark Lehner and others; and in astronomy from Mary Bruck, Archie roy, Giulio Magli and others. Even my most outspoken crotique Ed Krupp subscribes to the star-shaft theory.
As for John Wall, he has contributed nothing but his own biased attack on this theory. For years, and on level that sometimes bordered on hysteria, he has throw scorn on anything to do with stars and the pyramids. I need not ellaborate on this since many of you are familiar with all this.To put it as nicely as possible, John Wall fell into the same trap as John Legon who, in their obsession to discredit the OCT at all cost, felt they needed to 'destroy' the star-shaft theory.
At any rate, the star-shaft theory does not depend on the OCT; and vice versa. Both can stand alone as much as they can stand together.

I agree.

Most do. But not all.
