I don't think theology need be involved. That's Hermione's point. There are many scientists who are believers in various religions, but they do not confuse that belief with science. There are also a number of (not particularly bright) atheists and agnostics who do not understand science, so their alleged support of science is questionable. Therefore, the number of people in the world who believe in some religion does not tell us anything about the number of people who understand the evidence that supports evolution.
