Hi, thx for all that. The autosomal tests from your second link was pretty much the test used in that TV programme i watched. I wanted to know what it actually all meant. If the test says your Middle Eastern for example, does that mean that your profile is similar to that of other people currently living in the Middle East or people who would consider themselves racially and ethnically Middle Eastern? In other words, does the test trace geographic or ethnic origin, and if it's ethnic origin, what time frame are we talking about? Mesopotamian, Islamic or Prehistoric? Also, that test seems to have been for Caucasians (called Europeans for some reason), because the tests are further broken down into Middle Eastern, Northern European, Southeastern European and South Asian, which makes you wonder what happened to Southwestern European. Anyway, this particular test is of little use to me, because the bulk of my DNA has its origins in the Far East.....Do you think they have similar categories for the East Asian tests??
