That this is spectacular...

What's interesting is that it fits very well in the controversy. The scientist who appeared on the Horizon programme didn't give a shred of evidence for the microcephalic argument, the position that they were shown to be supporting. As a matter of fact, they all identified inconistencies with the h. erectus argument, which imo were quite impressive. What horizon didn't show however was that scientists were never that supportive of this idea in the first place. i can name at least one scientist who rejected h. erectus as the ancestor just a few days after the discovery.
