"This is a pretty short question. Actually,
i thought this was quite interesting.
Antartica was warmer during the cretaceous
and warmer still when it was near the equator
some 500 million years ago. This means that
it must have had flora and fauna, and even
dinosaurs lived there! How is this research
conducted and what are the difficulties
faced by fossil hunters in Antarctica?"

A couple of articles on this subject are:

1. Fossil Hunting in Antarctica by James E. Martin
and Judd A. Case, Geotimes, February 2004,

2.Investigating the Antarctic by Naomi Lubick,

3. Dinosaurs in the cold, dark Antarctic, Geotimes,

4. When the Ice was green and growing Antarctica’s
warmer, not gentler, past, [www.polar.org]

While looking for a few articles about finding dinosaurs in
Antarctica, I found one article about what must be one of
the better and classier places to dig for dinosaurs in the
world. It is not too "far" from Anarctica. The article is:

In hot pursuit of polar dinosaurs. Some
hibernated. Some grew large eyes. All
adapted to the extreme winter. Now their
secrets are being unearthed. by Peter N.
