Hi Peski
Glad to talk to another diver. What are you qualified to?
I've got to say that you are probably over stating the rescue diver qualification which, whilst being well above basic, puts me as under a dive master. Still I think that as a recreational diver it is a really good quailification to get. Much of it is revolves around stopping the bad situations from happening and reading your buddies bodylanguage under the water (so that you can spot the early signs of stress... or even narcosis). Admittedly there is also a large part of retrieving a dead/injured/unconsious diver. How to get them to the surface and then how to get them to the shore (as in administering rescue breath whilst your buddy tows him.
There was a time in India where my buddy go caught in a fishing net (there were a lot of them on the U-shaped anomaly), with proper comunication between us the situation was resolved quickly and more importantly without any panic.
I really recomend that level (I think the BSAC equivalent is a Sports Diver if you are a member of them) you will be a more confident and better diver.
