Hmmmmm? With the recent(last 6months) activity in the tectonic plates you can choose between geographic changes, thermal changes, piezoelectric activity, magnetic field disturbances, etc.

The Dec. 27th earthquake/tsunami did a major shake-up over there in that part of the globe.

Perhaps out of instinct they are "running home" for safety.
