That recipe seems very similiar to fry bread except it isn't just put in the pan all at once. They take a ball of it and kind of do this odd little maneuver with their hands so that it stretches out flat (without being stretched). My grandfather was a serious hobbyist fisherman and I grew up going salmon fishing. He also smoked his own salmon...Mmmmmm!!!
