To me I find it ludicrous to give this much attention to one series and one director/producer writer. So, whaddya know academia finally woke up and realized that there's world class artwork coming out of their television for free. And that's there story arcs, and references to mythology, and some pretty deep philosophy in it. But whaddya expect from somebody who dates the beginning of the 'golden age' of television with "The Sopranos". Buffy was strictly second tier in my opinion. Though I admit I never made it through one episode. Then again I'm not Josh Whedon fan at all so I'm a little miffed at all the adulation he gets. Maybe they should try watching Rick and Morty. The difference between Buffy and Rick and Morty is the difference between a nerf gun and a high energy laser.
