Almost as good as Ernest Saunders during the Guinness trial who claimed that he had Altzheimer's to get off on Appeal and then magically recovered, claiming it was all down to tranquilisers and antidepressents.

I still remember Angus Deyton on "Have I Got News for You" having to apologise on air for suggesting that Saunders had faked the illness but then immediately calling him a con man and swindler - which he didn't have to apologise for!
