Oh no, that is much worse!!! Not the children that he and Summer, who he thought dead from an underwater volcanic eruption but was actually disfigured/disabled but managed to survive to bear and raise their twin children--each one looking identical to their same gender parent?!?!

Actually, I was okay at tolerating Cussler books and enjoying the cheesy factor a bit (my mom sends them to me knowing that I will read anything) until that particuliar plot twist. That one was so cheesy that it made limburger look like chocolate milk.
