No Dave, he wasn't involved with the Manhatten project. That's Teller, Oppenheimer, Fermi, and that group. Von Braun was a German -- and Nazi - rocket scientist, involved primarily with the V-1 and V-2 rockets that were used on London (and the British countryside) during the war in Europe. His inelligence and skills were thought "too valuable" to pass up after the war and as entered the Cold War, so he never faced much if any fallout from his Nazi service, though there was certainly some societal fallout, as I indicated in my prior post. I believe he sued Lehr over one of the passages I quoted, and lost, but that's from memory and I may be wrong.
