This one is funny, because she starts with the statement "Nearly on every continent there stands some form of pyramids". From there she asks the question "What instigated these ancient people to travel...." I found her question amusing because it hasn't been established that ancient people traveled any distances carrying pryamid building traditions, and she has lept right into the "Why would they do it" phase ROFL!

So, just because it hasn’t been established it didn’t nor couldn’t happen? Academics, such as James Adovasio are in fact rethinking this. Do your homework a bit more.

Do I really need to explain why this one is funny? LOL. Instead of saying what she thinks Schoch is not, why doesn't she just say what she thinks Schoch is? I think she just wanted to use big words here...

Afraid so. And what, in your opinion, do you think she is saying Schoch is or isn’t?

Ummm, Steve... how does one go about studying undocumented research? Seriously, I'd like to know the secret to that trick.

Undocumented research is like that which has not been published or is legendary as in King Arthur or Robin Hood, look how many stories there are out there on those guys? How can any one know the truth, those are undocumented for much of the time.

Quote

Pyramids serve as 'universities educating us of our past and present day circumstances'? And they 'may hold the key to help construct a more positive foundation of mind and spirit in preparation for future humanity'? Don't you agree that this is OTT, and extremely New Agey?

Do you know what the definition of the word opinion is? As for being over the top, I can point out many things that fall into this category in the mainstream; purely an opinion, but over the top nonetheless. For the record, I have distrust for archeologists and their methods.

Quote

Look, I like Schoch as much as the next guy... but honestly, do you really think he 'set new standards of integrity and ethics' in Voyages?

Yes. He proposes that many things have been either over looked or not looked at deep enough. Egyptology/archeology, being as highly speculative as they are, leaves plenty of room for more than the dogmatic interpretation we read about today.

I think she went overboard with this review, it appears that she was trying to impress Schoch rather than inform potential readers about the book... IMO

I'll keep that in mind when I see another 'review' posted here.
