I'm not a lawyer but I think the answer to your question is yes. Copyright notice is just that -- notice that the material is protected and cannot be used without permission of the copyright holder. There are some fair use exceptions, but with a single photograph, if you reproduce the whole thing without getting permission first, even if you credit the holder, I think it's a violation.
