My younger sister Karen is like an idiot savant with Scrabble. I don't understand it, she can't spell, and rarely reads. I've read her emails and writings and ads for ebay sales and the girl's spelling is horrible!! Its so bad that the whole family was terrified for her daughter when she was discussing homeschooling her. I remember when she and I were both taking a civil servant test together and she asked me what competitor meant (a page was titled "Instructions to the Competitor").

I think she's memorized the Scrabble dictionary.
