The Navajo Reservation was in a very serious drought crisis for the past several years. Thankfully, the normal rains seem to have returned this year and washes that haven't been running in years actually are running. Even with all the rain, the dust still flies. We were driving back from the reservation yesterday evening and saw a massive plume of dust hovering over town from something blowing through.
There have been several wind/dust related pile ups out here as well. Gusts are the biggest hazard though.
