I often tend to have that effect on people... sorry!
Avry and I have had our differences (of opinion), but I have also noted him being treated inappropriately at times... in a similar manner to how I have seen certain other people at the GHMB get treated. Without getting personal about Avry, let it suffice to say that I am not surprised that he takes his work seriously enough to consider possible slander/libel to be tar rather than water on the duck's back. For such a situation to result in the "tarred" individual feeling the need to stand up and in essence yell "I've been wrongly tarred and from now on this is what is going to happen to anyone trying to tar me", I also find not surprising. You are right that this "isn't the world Litz, it's Ma'at"... at least for me it is... and obviously you as well. But are you so certain that Ma'at (or at least the "peers" that show up here) isn't a significant part of Avry's world? And if seen in that light, wouldn't a generally directed admonishment (to others who may have used de-bunk tactics at times or might cross the slander/libel line) make more sense than any direct e-mail confrontation? (I used to go to a board where we would buy/sell/trade items... whenever anyone got "taken" it was standard policy to alert everyone to the fact not only to punish the offender but also to admonish any "would be" offenders of the consequences).
Since I viewed Avry's post as seriously directed (not a game), I am afraid that I have mentally entered this thru an opposite door than you. Sorry for any unintentional offense... I was merely attempting to have everyone take one step back and make sure they weren't thinking with their emotions (it should be assumed that Avry might be emotional here since his back got the tar).
Best to you as well,
Litz</HTML>
