<HTML>I got a note from my ISP explaining recent spate of server problems. It has less to do with solar activity and more with new wave of viruses recently released. They seems to be aimed mostly at Windows 2000 and NT so average PC user is unaffected but ISPs are in two ways. ISPs are mostly W2000 and NT driven and some of their bigger customers are too. So even if ISP gets rid of the virus in their system they often get reinfected again and again by their customers. My ISP is compiling a list of serial offenders
(bot companies and private) and is threatening to cut them off permanently if they will not improve their security.
