<HTML>With Egypt the only country other than Afghanistan singled out by President Bush tonight as having a terrorist movement within its borders, the Egyptian judicial process will no doubt be challenged to deal with a roundup of terrorists soon. A story in Al-Ahram today illustrates the Egyptian legal system, its laws and its politics.
The trial described here is of a newspaper editor who ran a story simply describing sexual activity at a Coptic monastary along with a picture of a monk allegedly having sex with a woman there. He drew three years and a stiff fine, being found guilty of sedition - which last I checked meant advocating the overthrow of the government. (???)
