I think Jameske may be referring to some highly reactionary figures that were CSICOP members in the past. I dare say there may still be some that consider it an organisation designed for intellectual witch hunting. The problem I guess is that any organisation is dependent on the people that make up their membership. A few dodgy characters is sufficient to give a poor impression of the group as a whole. I also gather that some people chose to leave CSICOP because they opposed the methods that were being employed within it at that time.
