<HTML>Leave it to you to give us all a history lesson! Why must you asume that your oponents are historical ignoramuses in need of an education - and from you?
I am well aware of the "controversy" surrounding the supposed existence of a post-Roman "Dark Age." I used it only for its poetic imagery.
And what the hell makes me a "LC Type??"" You have no sense of good taste - bringing up such irrelivant name-calling at a time like this. Once again you live up to my estimation of your lack of character.
However, your point remains somewhat interesting - despite the meanspiritedness of its delivery. Humanity itself might well go on and nations may prosper elsewhere in the world, but it is difficult to imagine how the United States could survive a simultanious nuclear strike against several of its cities.
At any rate, even one such disaster - regardless of its national or international consequences - must be averted. That is my position - regardless of the historical significance of events 1500 years past.
