<HTML>Ok you two..
Calm down.
Chris, there may be reasons for adding Saddam Hussein to the equation, and indeed some of his followers, but on the whole there are many in Iraq who do not support him... in fact I feel great pains for the innocent children who are starving becuase of politics in that country. If SH is sought out, then fine, but Iraq should never be considered a target - we're not after countries, we're after an underground web of terrorist cells.
Claire,
I know that the simplest of words at this time can have passionate consequences for those of us reading them. I honestly don't think Chris's intent was to say, " 'eliminate' a counrty and it's people in genocide fashion. "
It's ok. I understand your feelings. Let's all keep our heads up, and think about how posts and opinions are only expressions and outpourings of thoughts as a result of this extremely tragic event. In trying to make sense of it, there are times right now when things said can be taken wrongly.
Trust in our shared freedom. Trust in our focus to end the actions of pockets of indivuals and regimes who threaten that freedom. We aren't going to realize the cause if we alienate each other.
Peace.
