That's just Dibble's intro page: [
profiles.cardiff.ac.uk].
This is a list of his publications: [

So what's the problem here, Don ... ? For some reason, you don't think Dibble is up to the job of debating with Graham Hancock?
(Looking at the rebuttal linked by Paul H. in more detail):
Quote
Dibble questioned the paper’s implication that the structure was built using “sophisticated construction techniques.” Speaking to Nature, he said the layers at the site could well have been the result of the natural movement of rocks or weathering.
“Material rolling down a hill,” he said, “is going to on average orient itself.”
How many times have we come across excited representations that such-and-such a stone formation is the remains of some lost civilisation, when it's actually the result of geological processes.

Another archaeologist, Bill Farley of the Southern Connecticut State University, also pointed out to the publication that there exists no evidence that Gunung Padang was settled by an advanced civilization during the last Ice Age. The site’s soil samples could be dated back 27,000 years, but they don’t contain traces of human activity, such as bone fragments.
Some weeks ago, I posted a link [
www.maatforum.com] explaining how:
<< Back in 2011, the Bosnian Pyramid Foundation carried out a comparable exercise on organic material from the (so-called) Pyramid of the Moon, concluding that:

the presence of a piece of organic matter 10,000 years old is automatically taken to be proof of a ‘construction’.

The point is that, just because ancient organic matter is present - whether on the Bosnian "Pyramid of the Moon," Gunung Padang, or anywhere else - it doesn't logically follow, if there's no evidence of human presence, that that date indicates a construction date.
Hilman's a
scientist ( ... supposed to be). Surely he'd
know this?
