From my study of these "enclosures" I read somewhere that there are
NO openings into them.
That's why I am always surprised when they are claimed to be "cattle enclosures"
I'll have to dig out Michael Tellinger's book and see if any carbon dating has been done around the site, or maybe The Internet can tell us.

and from these images it appears that there are several entrances so it seems my original source was misguided to be charitable.
and from the looks of some of the artifacts found on site, dating it to the 16th century seems ... well just a bit ridiculous.
Not sure if this is an actual village or a rendition of what it could have looked like but where it is located is spectacular.
