Despite the claim on FAWS, I couldn't find any. Wiki says "early 16th cent. [AD])" [en.wikipedia.org],

I don't know the answer to that.

I suppose one could argue they were natural, before the 16th century Bokoni picked them up and made a cattle enclosure out of them.
