<HTML>Thanks for the links and input everyone,
This is frighteningly close to the first chapter of the book I am writing!
I hope to have it in print by summer, '02.
I am not an evolutionist, nor am I religious. I believe in "The Source of Everything" and, by simple tradition, call it "The Great Spirit." I really don't know what else to call it. It cannot be explained but it can be experienced. Each person must "discover" that experience. It is simple but difficult and can happen with little effort or a lifetime of constant effort, yet for some people, it will never happen. A "built-in enigma".
As for the universe, evolution-creation-etc., I'm like everyone else,,,I don't know, either.
Would I have some sort of advantage over my fellow man if I "knew"? Well, I don't want an advantage, I have no use for that. If any one person suddenly found out "why" we are here, "why" we are what we are and "how" we got here,,,that might make a difference. What "real" difference would it make to know "how long" we have been here? The "how and Why" seem a bit more important to me.
It takes all kinds,,,,
Cheers,
