Melanesians

Some present-day East Asian groups, in particular Melanesians, may have inherited up to five percent of their genetic material from Denisovans. Melanesians are Pacific Islanders native to a region spanning from Papua New Guinea to Fiji. Most speak either one of the many languages of the Austronesian language family, especially ones in the Oceanic branch,

[en.wikipedia.org]

The Sumerian language has been found to be related to a lost dialect of India and also has roots in Polynesia and has roots in the Austronesian language family as well. It is speculated that the language went from India and Polynesia to Sumer, but maybe it went the other way ? Or did the Denisovans originate in Polynesia ? ... or was it Lemuria ?

Makes me very curious what they will find when they finally get around to either doing, or releasing the data of The DNA results of The Sumerians.
