So this "any light in the sky" symbol you are discussing covers the stars, planets, moon and the sun?

In this/these culture(s) are there other symbols known to represent the moon differently then the sun or even the morning stars we know as planets?
How do you suppose they differentiated between these varying degrees of lights in the sky?
