But, I am of course , familiar with most of the predominant views about historical linguuistics, as well as many of the marginal theories put forth over the years. I have developed my approach over years of study , trial and error, dead ends, etc. I dare say that I would not be nearly as far along if the contributors to Maat had not steered me away from a variety of dead ends and false prophets over the years. OTOH, I would have quit altogether if I took the beliefs of many so-called experts as "Gospel". Even the "alternos" often have useful info, though they generally don't recognize it as such. Basically, I consider the views of the expects as much as possible, but I follow the evidence.
