<HTML>Anthony I was just fixing to type earthquake when I saw the word in your post ...... from what I've read in earthquake prone areas ... like the areas the Incas lived in ..... the many angled and concave/convex rocks hold up extremely well in earthquakes.... and the proof is that they are still standing today ....

Flat blocks arranged in rows wouldn't be nearly as strong....
