It's amazing how many people will completely dismiss the abilities of thousands of laborers working for dozens of years, in favor of "awe inspired" fantasy.
I've just finished a post on the big crop circle, and how 12 people could have easily accomplished the task... complete with all the ERRORS made in the design. People still want to say, "NO, people couldn't do that!".
I guess the real question is not "how", but "Why?". It seems like a lot of work to fit a couple blocks, when flat surfaces fit so nicely. Maybe the concern was for structural integrity, and the concave/convex surfaces worked like a mortar, tying the entire structure together. This would make them EXTREMELY earthquake proof, wouldn't you say?
