<HTML>Been away a while and wondered if there had been any comment from RB on the recent criticism of KSs theory in Nature by Rawlins and Pickering? Has RB read this relevant comments from Nature yet? Considering that his 1994 paper in DE on the star shafts is referenced by KS I thought he would be shouting and screaming about the respect and recognition his work was now getting within orthodoxy (KS uses RBs star shaft data to support her alignment method).
Seeing as this has been common public knowledge since at least last thursday I'd have expected something by now from RBs rapid response unit. Oh well this could confirm my suspicions that the only publicity that RB wants is negative publicity. Perhaps Kate should have make some false accusations about him as RB clearly seems to prefer fighting his battles in court.
Perhaps I'm grandstanding here but it seems to me like the only way to get a response in this game. Seriously though can somebody give Mr Bauval a prod? Following his harsh criticism of KS late last year I'd have thought he'd be bang up to date on all this and yet he hasn't even commented on it. Most bizarre and most unlike him - apologies if he's ill or out of town.
