<HTML>Hello DP,
I do not have an answer, but more related questions:
An atmosphere rich in CO2 turned gradually into one that can sustain life needing O2. In the process, scientists have maintained that this is due to anerobic bacteria which consumed CO2 and released O2 into the air sounding their own death knell.
How should we judge the anerobic bacteria and their 'actions'?
To DP's point, we are making the only home known to us, like the bacteria before us, inhospitable to ourselves. Are we setting the stage for, intentions aside, the next stage of evolution? And what might that be like?
Thanks for your time and thoughts.
