in 1974 Zechariah Sitchin wrote the twelth planet
one of the major claims of the book was that the rogue planet Nibiru was on a highly eliptical 3600 year orbit and that every time it passed close by it caused catastrophies and the Ancient Gods who lived on it would descend to earth from the heavens (Annunaki) and take control once again of their slaves (i.e. us) who they used mainly to mine gold which was needed back on their home planet to generate Oxygen

this is the reason why your friend is claiming the temples all have the same floor plan and are laid out to the gods directions
it is why he is claiming archaelogists and historians are bereft of technical knowledge and didn't notice
because Zechariah has proclaimed that Nibiru is due back any time now. 2007 + 1500 = 3507 years. He has revised the date twice already each time he beat the odds on a heart bypass and recovered. it was originally due back in time to mark the millenium I think the current due date is 2036 which is way beyond the credible lifespan of its inventor

maybe you could point out to him that Zechariah Sitchen also has no technological qualification
he also has no history qualifications
no linguistical qualifications
and no archaeological qualifications

he does have qualifications as an economist
which is why he knows what gullible people will buy


if you like you could point out that the word neberu is not Sumerian and it doesn't mean planet
It is in fact akkadian and it means "quay, port; crossing, ford"

you might also point out that Anu is the name of a god and also the sumerian word for heaven so Anunaki does not mean "those who from heaven to earth came" because "na" actually means men so Anuna "men of heaven" or "men of Anu"

of course if you have an ability for math (which i am sadly lacking) you may have noticed that 1500bce was after the Sumerians had passed into history
and adding 3600 years to it takes you to 5100bce which is in fact before the Sumerians had established themselves as a civilisation
so whatever the case
they never said anything about aliens
or rogue planets
or temples being used for ore processing
