Hello RLH,
There is nothing wrong with the drawings you posted.
And if one allows for its scale compared to the scales of the drawings you posted, there is nothing wrong with Petrie's drawing, either.
The ramp at the bottom north-west corner of the GG is damaged (presumably as a result of excavations made in and around the opening to the Well Shaft in the west wall), hence the non-appearance of the hole in the west ramp at the GG north wall.
There was a trace of the hole when Smyth examined and measured this part of the Pyramid in the 1860s.
Smyth noted it was 6" wide (E-W) and possibly originally 23" long (N-S).
A detailed drawing of this corner of the GG as it was in 1909 (or thereabouts) can be seen in
The Great Pyramid Passages and Chambers. Vol. 1 Plate XXIII by John and Morton Edgar.
Adopting the view that a picture paints a thousands words, I strongly recommend viewings of the sketches, drawings, and diagrams published in the various books written by Smyth, Davidson, Rutherford, J & M Edgar, Kingsland, Capt et al.
Regards,
MJ
