Not very likely.

May I point out that the structures at L'Anse aux Meadows are of clear Norse design, that several clearly Norse objects were found and that there was also a iron foundary at L'Anse aux Meadows. The Native Americans didn't smelt or work hot iron until the Europeans came.

Of course the Sagas are evidence and L'Anse aux Meadows fits with that.
