There are plenty of strange ones out there, Michael Tsarion has an edge to his work that's particularly disconcerting.
I first learned about Michael Tsarion through links to videos of his lectures that are available on YouTube [
youtube.com] , where a search on "Tsarion" will turn up quite a bit. His work is characterized by an apophenic mix of references to ancient astronauts, Illuminati, lost continents, extraterrestrials, hollow earth theory, the photon belt, and so forth.
Here's a link to an interview with Michael Tsarion and Zecharia Sitchin (with a brief clip of Erich von Daniken):

"Tsarion is convinced there were some 500 alien visitations during the time of Atlantis."
His website at [
www.taroscopes.com] features links to some of his publications, including "Astro-Theology & Sidereal Mythology" [
www.taroscopes.com] and "Atlantis, Alien Visitation, and Genetic Manipulation [
www.taroscopes.com]
Tsarion's latest effort is "The Irish Origins of Civilization" [
www.taroscopes.com] , in which he further develops the idea that the true origins of Judaism lay on the Emerald Isle.
The combination of ancient astronauts, lost continents, racism, and anti-Semitism in Tsarion's website, books, and online videos is a disconcerting reminder of new ways that the Web (particularly through [
youtube.com] ) is feeding a growing audience for pseudohistory and pseudoscience.
