So, I've just come across someone spewing all sorts of nonsense about christianity being a corruption of the emperor cult of ancient Rome. The fellow I'm dealing with gets all his ideas from this guy, Francesco Carotta. Has anyone heard of him? Has anyone done any debunking of this work. I haven't read his book, but from the "examples" this guy is throwing at me I'm unimpressed. Just wanting to know if any of you guys/gals out there have some resources to debunk this?
