<HTML>Hi Kat
I do live close to the area. To be honest I didn't realise that they had stopped for the foot and mouth thing :-)
They do need to do something - the A303 is a busy dual carriageway, but goes into a single lane not far before Stonehenge. This two lanes into one is made more problematic because drivers slow down to look at the stones and the right hand turn into the Stonehenge carpark is quite short. Basically there is always a traffic jam!
However for anyone thinking of visiting who hasn't been - did you know how EXPENSIVE it is now? I think it is £4.50 per adult just to park and walk not very close to the stones. You're as well off going by in first gear on the road (you probably won't have a choice) and driving on the Avebury which is free and you can go right up to the stones and there's a muesum. Unfortunately Silbury Hill is still closed though. (well obviously you can't close a hill - I mean you can't climb it right now)
