<HTML>Yeah, after the work's been done !
I'm interested as I'm trying to put together a website explaining the archaeological fieldwork process to developers, in the light of Planning Policy in the UK - i.e. what their obligations are, what it's likely to cost them, why it's worth doing the archaeology. Part of this will be a study of the way in which archaeological contracts are awarded - a potentially dodgy area!!
When I worked in the field I constantly came across developers who regarded archaeology, and our presence on-site, as a waste of time - they wanted us off-site as quickly as possible; I'm hoping that I can persuade a few that we're a cheap, and worthwhile, addition to their PR for a new development</HTML>
