The argument that the others have had with the most weight was the email sent to Harringtons hoist co.. As you know from the other boards they answered quite explicitly that with Ed's equipment it was very possible to lift the stones. I believe otherwise, because I have consulted other engineers who had different results for the question. (30 tons lifted by chain hoist by one man with no machinery?-not possible according to my cousin who graduated from Rennsallear Polytech Ins.) I ask you this, why don't you shoot an email to the same company with more specifics in the question and see what they have to say then? My other question was how this relates to the Greeks and their construction of the Parthenon, which was supposedly well documented from an engineering standpoint.
