<HTML>So long as you insist that a 10 ton hoist is adequate for lifting a 30 ton block, you will never see the mystery.
So long as you insist that a single little man can exert 7.5 tons of force on a chain, you will never see the mystery.
I understand your not wanting to take my word for these things... and that the words of uninformed experts sounds awfully easy to accept (do you accept Schoch so easily?) However, until you've seen the truly massive nature of these blocks... until you've used a hoist to just lift a 600 pound generator... you won't understand the work that WAS done at the Coral Castle.
You can't. You see a sweaty little man, his tripod, and a pulley. Therefore, you assume the block is light enough for him to lift.
I've built the scale models... they just don't work... and the scale was for a 7.5 ton block of stone... nowhere near the 30 ton block. This was an average scale for each of the blocks he raised and placed for his outer wall... 67 in total.
And the scale sized chain snapped when I just tried to LOWER the block... to hell with raising it.
The affidavits are all over the giftshop at the castle. I've got two in my possession. I've quoted from one of them above. I also have Orville Erwin's self-published book, which has been debunked by engineers, in terms of his description of the vertical lifts using the pulleys.
I'll go find you the research to prove the tools in Ed's possession were incapable of performing the task. However, I have to call someone about a marriage license first.
