<HTML>From; Encyclopedic Dictionary of Archaeology....Under Archaeology,
...." Archaeology .....the branch of learning that studies the material remains of human's past....Modern archaeology ...has become increasinly scientific and relies on a wide variety of experts such as biologists, geologists, physicists, sociologists, anthropolgists, and historians."
In otherwords Archaeology is the scientific study of the ramins of the past. To scientifically study these remains archaeologists use biology, geology, physics, sociology, anthropology and I might add astronomy, chemistry,
botony, mathematics, etc etc etc.
Is a stronomy less a science because it uses mathematics, physics and obtics? Or geology because it uses chemistry and mathematics ?
Hence I do not understand your point.
