In my younger days I made a couple business trips to Logan, Utah. They required week long stays... and plenty of co-operation from people associated with Logan and the University there. One of the first things I said to my wife when I got back from my first trip was that she would not believe how friendly, helpful, down to earth, etc. the people were there (and I know for a fact that the people helping were Mormons). So I agree whole heartedly with your "most giving and kind" people assessment.
